Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy ("Policy") explains the conditions under which refunds may be issued for CheckViral subscriptions. CheckViral uses Paddle as its payment processor and Merchant of Record. By purchasing a paid subscription, you agree to this Policy.
All payment transactions, including refunds, are processed by Paddle on our behalf. Refund eligibility, timing, and processing are subject to both this Policy and Paddle's own policies.
2. Refund Window
You may request a full refund of the amount you paid within 14 days of your purchase. This 14-day window is offered to all customers, in line with the statutory withdrawal rights of consumers in the EU, EEA, UK, and other regions, and reflects the highest standard of protection that applies.
Using the Service waives this right. The right to a refund does not apply once you have started using or benefiting from the Service after agreeing, at checkout, for us to make it available to you immediately. Because CheckViral grants access as soon as your purchase is complete, beginning to use the Service — for example, by generating or viewing an analysis — means you have consented to immediate access and waived your right to a refund for that purchase.
That said, if you tried the Service and are not satisfied, you can still contact us within 14 days of your purchase. We review each request individually and may, at our discretion, issue a full or partial refund.
Refunds will not be issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.
3. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation will stop future billing at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to the Service until that date.
Cancellation alone does not guarantee a refund. To request a refund, you must submit an explicit refund request.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email us at support@checkviral.ai and include the following:
- The email address associated with your account
- The reason for your refund request
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days.
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed by Paddle to your original payment method, where possible, within 14 days of approval. Your bank or card provider may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.
If a refund is issued, your access to the corresponding purchase will cease. CheckViral is not responsible for currency conversion losses or bank fees associated with refund processing.
6. Disputes & Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. If you have a dispute about a charge, please contact us and we will work in good faith to resolve it promptly.
7. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes become effective upon posting. In case of significant changes we will notify you via email or a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
