CheckViral collects minimal Personal Data necessary to provide our services. When you register for an account, we collect your first name and email. If you sign in via Google, we also collect your Google-issued user ID.

We use PostHog for analytics. PostHog automatically collects technical information about your use of the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the Service. This data is collected and processed by PostHog in accordance with their privacy policy.

Payment information (such as card details) is collected and processed directly by Paddle, our payment processor. We do not store your payment card information.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account and provide access to the Service
• To process payments and manage your subscription through Paddle
• To improve, maintain, and optimise the Service
• To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries

CheckViral uses third-parties for payment processing (Paddle), analytics (Posthog), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and error tracking.

7. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable under local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will promptly delete it.
